Praying Hands

SEVIKA SANGHAM

She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.  Proverbs 31:20-21

Our motto:'Service and Evangelism, in the life and mission of the Mar Thoma Church'

The Mar Thoma Sevika Sangham, founded in 1919 during the Maramon Convention, is the vibrant women’s organization of the Mar Thoma Church, committed to spreading the gospel. Led by Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Mar Theethos Episcopa, it empowers women across our community.

All women above 18 in our parish are automatic members, with Vicar as President. The Sevika Sangham is highly active, supporting both church and community.

Our Christchurch Mar Thoma Congregation, established in 2021, continues the legacy of the prayer group started in 2007. Since then, our Sevika Sangham has been a pillar for women's spiritual and personal growth. We offer leadership roles during church services, culinary showcases, and fundraising events.

We welcome new members to join us in nurturing personal and spiritual growth and advancing His ministry.

For further information regarding Savika Sangham, kindly contact our Vicar, Rev. Sabu Samuel K (02102711939) or Sevika Sangham Secretary Mrs. Shanti Anna Samuel (0226224029)
